Rushing Adams is a doctoral student in Humanities at the University of
Texas at Dallas, where she is Poetry Editor for Sojurn. Her
interests include the contemporary American novel, the history of
childbirth, artistic representations of birth and mothering, book and
publishing history, and literary expressions of spirituality.
Kathleen Smith is an Instructor in the English
Department at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Her
interests include poetry (both writing and reading), 19th Century American
fiction, Creative Nonfiction and the evolution of the essay form.
